Ahhh Refreshed!
My first full night of sleep in a year and a half. Truly a full night. No getting up to go to the bathroom, no getting up to nurse, I was dead to the world. I woke up on my own before my alarm clock at 5:30. I feel great (my top side was a little uncomfortable without the night nursings) and ready to hold down the fort while the residents have their interviews - morning OR and the consult...

Mr. Power, an update
Mr. Power will be 10 months in a few days. I can’t believe that we are coming up on his first birthday! It is amazing to watch him learn and discover things. I feel that in the last few weeks in particular he has really made strides.

Cycle Stupidity
The holidays are over and I am starting to look at the spring race season to decide what I am interested in doing this year. Bre and I have decided that we want to lay low this year (more on that in another post) so I am trying to really hone in on my specific goals. I want to focus more on running longer distances faster but I also plan on doing some local triathlons. It’s been difficult...
Perspectives
I was having a conversation with a coworker of mine the other day about how our lives have changed since having kids. She has a son around M. Power’s age and was expressing how overwhelmed she was by everything. I smiled and nodded but inside I was rolling my eyes. She works part-time, in the office (she at least gets to use the bathroom and get a drink when she wants), she is not...
