I am currently living in Lexington with my husband (Bre) and my son (Mr. Power).

I was just having this discussion with Bre.  I continuously see photos of friends on Facebook on their latest vacation without the kids, or discussion of book clubs, movies out, girls night out, etc.  As a parent of a toddler I can tell you that you definitely need time not only for yourself, but also as a couple if you want to continue to have a healthy relationship.  Still you are now a family and that changes things a bit and should give you pause.  The other thing I don’t get is taking your kids everywhere, always having activities, etc. especially when they are little (toddler age).  I have seen multiple posts from people about taking their toddler aged kids to ballgames during the week or to the pool all day.  What about their routine?  What about naps and a good bedtime and meals other than chicken nuggets and french fries?  We structure our activities around Mr. Power’s normal nap and meal times.  Is it a pain sometimes?  Sure.  You know what is a bigger pain though?  Having to deal with a tired, cranky child.

Maybe the solution is just to quit facebook.
